“Bob’s Gorge” on Stob Coire ‘an Albannaich. We came across a deer that had fallen into the gorge and had at least one broken leg. It was trapped, incapacitated and was severely distressed. We were almost as distressed having to scramble past it and not being able to do anything to relieve it’s suffering.

On top of my last munro Lurg Mhor. From back Gwyn, Alistair, Graham, me, Roddy, my mates Fergie and Bish and at the front Fraser. T’was a great weekend with a big crowd of us staying at the remote bothy at Bendronaig. Also on the hill that day, but not in the pic, were Julian, Abs, Gillian, Andy, Jamie and Graeme Cornwallis.

Best way up Stob Coire an Albannaich and it's little known 8) The photo doesn't really do it justice...it's sooo much better than the pic :)

Went up first it with Bob, Gavin and Julian when there was a wee bit of snow about higher up. Then about 5 years ago a larger crowd of us went up when that pic was taken.

Would love to do it again in full winter nick. It wouldn't really be a climb, probably Grade I, but it's length and atmosphere would mean it would be a great experience and a bit of an adventure :D
