Yesterday Bob, Alex, Gavin, Millie and I had a great day out in Mull. The plan was to bag Dun da Ghaoithe, the Corbett behind Craignure. By catching the first ferry we had just enough time to do the circular walk round the two tops and corrie before catching the last ferry back to Oban.
And even though some high cloud came in when we started out on our ascent, the views from this hill must be amongst the best from a hill in Scotland…a panoramic mix of sea, islands and mountains. From the tops we could see Ireland, Arran, Jura, Tiree, Skye, Rum, the Outer Hebrides and of course the mainland coastal mountains were prominent, from Cruachan up to Lochaber.
