Thinking of expeditioning into Ben Alder in January to do the Long Leachas (I) and maybe come down the Short Leachas - on a relentless quest for grade Is for the next stage of metamorphosis! Maybe stay overnight in Culra or camp nearer the foot. Anyone fancy coming along? Trying to do a couple of routes a month next year until the snow runs out! If anyone wants a belay let me know :P

Surprised there are no takers for this so far. I`m sure Dom would be up for it nearer the time.I`d go masel` but don`t know if I can bothered haulin` ass down Loch Ericht side. I`ll have a think and see if I can come up with some more "fester friendly" winter crags :D

prolly early feb - more daylight in case of epic! I'm racking up the Is and IIs this winter hopefully - nobody climbs up here so I have to solo  there's a nice II I've got my eye on, on Blaven. need to add a few to the old logbook for winter ml next winter. Was trawling old logs yesterday and found south rib direct II on Beinn Laoigh, completely forgot Allan E soloed that with me - I was sweating just reading it! If the weather's good when you go to the cic I might drop by - heading for no3 and back by the CMD arete.

You could come to the Jan or Feb meets, Muir of Inverey and Milehouse, and do something in the Gorms.

Would be happy enough to accompany you up something, esp from Muir of Inverey as I haven't done much from that side, possibly Sputan Dearg or Etchachan.

Hi Alastair,

I need to go into Ben Alder to do a couple of Munros. So depending on whether I'm free I'd be up for coming along. Saying that weekends either side of first week in February I'm likely to be away with work. Let me know when you fix your date.

John

Will try to make it to Milehouse Scott. The car isn't too good for long distances (inverey) any more!
