Reduced to four after three call offs for various reasons and with a change of venue...we had originally planned going to the Ben to
go up Ledge Route and round the cmd arete...Gavin, Gordy, Iain and myself headed to Ben Lui by way of the long walk in from Dalrigh :?

My enthusiasm was not running high due to having been up Lui many times before, but the view of te hill in the morning sunshine soon had
my spirits soaring and the hill drew me on :)

...and down into the corrie

Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end, and after hanging around the top for some time the cloud started to drift in :(

Image

We headed off down the N ridge, on the other side of the corrie and reasonably heavy snow started to fall

Looking back to the upper part of the hill from the corrie...change from the short sleeved ascent earlier on, eh :!:

Sent him a text half an hour ago, but so far no reply.

As for the pics...just noticed that I need to rotate two of them  I'll sort it out later :)

Aye, the ankle is still twice the size it should be and throbbing pretty bad. I think the rutting deer must have been very confussed to hear my girly shreek amungst their howling bellows. I suppose this is the lesson I learn after taking a ridicuolous route off Beinn a'Chleibh to catch up with you guys? ....if it doesn't get any better I might go over to casualty and get it checked out later.

Big ankle aside, it was a great day. Amazing how quickly the weather turnned from scortching blue skys to heavy snow. .....and really enjoyed the wee scramble up the ridge

Here are another few photos. I think these were the only photos I could find which weren't identical to Scott's....

Take care of that ankle Gordy...they can take a long time to heal :(

Anyway...Gordy, Iain, one of you was asking about Central Gully when we were on Ben Lui on Sunday...well here's a pic of me nearing the top
of the route. Taken, oh must have been late winter/early spring 2002, by Gordon Innes who in his usual fashion climbed like he had a rocket up his arse and was at the summit cairn
way before me, hence he was able to take the photo

Oh aye, and Alex, see those pics of mine above that need rotated. Well I've tried rotating and saving them, but when I upload them to Photobucket they go back to a landscape format :? Help, any advise :?:

Not very helpfull Alex  I downloaded the pics from my camera to the laptop and then rotated and saved them, so the camera shouldn't really come into it :?

It snowed? That would explain why that rain felt so cold when I was running near Loch Lomond... Still, looks like a good day!
