Scott, Silke, Graham B and a couple of my friends (Andy and Matt) on the little Buachille....... Some decent views from the top. A nice wee day out. Also managed to get some nice photos of crackin' sunset on the way home....

Was the sort of easy going day that I just needed. Seemed to manange to get up and down the wee Buachille in about half an hour...think I was too busy gassing to Silke to notice time passing!

The cloudy ridge just below the top of the hill

Jennifer and I did a spot of deer watching after leaving the hut for home

Hey just checked, Stob Coire Raineach is a new munro for me! Must just have walked to the top of Stob Dubh on only previous ascent.

Liked Blackrock, especially liked the chairs which are great for snoozing in. From now on think I am going to rate huts by their chairs. :P

Graham

Yeah, the Munros tables were revised around eight years ago(?), not long before I finished them. There were various additions and deletions, including three new munros in Glen Coe :!:

Have to say though, two munros on the wee Buachaille is a bit much. No way is Raineach a seperate mountain :? Same goes for there being two on the (big) Buachaille.

These two tops are definetly subsiduary peaks and should have been left as Munro Tops.

Sgreamach on the Bidean range I can just about put up with as being the other new munro. But only at a push :!:

The SMC should just leave the tables alone, or if they insist on making any sort of changes then possibly applying the 150m descent rule (like for the Corbett list) would be an improvement. It would however reduce the numbers of munros.

Anyone agree/disgree :?:

Graham,

do you mean the Blackrock chairs were more comfy than the Raeburn Hut chairs? You actually look quite cosy in both...

Also below the glorious view from the car park in Glen Coe, after I have been sitting on a personal-record-breaking 4 Munros in 2 days without having any view whatsoever...

The second photo of Graham sleeping looks like it was taken in the eighties...sort of "flock of seagulls" flick going on there...and the first one brings him bang up to date

Of course in reality there was only 4 weeks between the pics
