Hey Alex, it's not going to rain Out of your selection I wouldn't mind Resourie or Brunachan, but still fancy going back to Suardalan. Been there many times and I don't know why but I just love it there. Possibly just memories of good times
The rest of your suggestions are not too bad, I'd go to but less keen. Peanmeanach probably won't suit all due to the lack of hills.
Rioja is almost in France, not one of these fancy new countries where they're still producing grapes in GroBags that they just dragged off the boat.
Suardalan is the one for me, but I will go for any inferior choice that has the will of the majority.
Scott I have said it before and here I say iot again, you are the very worst person I know (apart from Jen and she has an excuse) for creeping americanisms. I have read today that you 'are digging hills and now you want to 'kick back'. What the f has happened to you? 20 years ago kicking back for you would have meant some heavy duty expression of the anarchistic energy of youth, probably involving violence against the establishment.
10 years ago you kicked back at Morar, quite intoxicated, fell over the fire and broke a thumb. Let that be a lesson to you. Bothy chairs are not made well enough to kick back on.

With some late additional interest last night it now looks like there are about 13 folk keen to go to a bothy next week
Obviously this far exceeds the number that should go to a bothy as one party. So, who is actually genuinely interested and who is likely to pull out. Some of the names I have included are folk I have heard are interested through another party. There are also some "mights".
Experience has taught me that 13 folk will, in reality, actually mean no more than six
Oh, and who wants to go for two nights, who for one night and where
For the where, there have been some suggestions by Alex and I on previous postings on this thread
If there is going to be a crowd then probably Brunachan would be the best bet.
I`d go to Resourie also as it`s unlikely there would be anyone else there.
If going to Brunachan I would only go if there is another car going somewhere else for bagging as I`ve done everything there, Corbetts and Grahams. If the weather was good I`d do Ardverikie Wall again on the Saturday. Will see forecast later in the week.
If going to Resourie I`ve only got one hill day to do from there.Carn na Natrach.
I`m not fussed whether I go for one or two nights.A slight concern about my liver perhaps if going for both nights
Will see the forecast later on in the week as I say.
Anybody else got preferences for one or two nights and which bothy
I know I can only make it for the Saturday night as it's the wee sisters 30th on the Friday, so I probably couldn't make it for a dead early start either on the Saturday as I've got folk staying at mine after the birthday bash. Was thinking some folk might head up later in the day, similar to the summer solstice bothy last year??
As far as the choice of bothy goes, I'll follow the crowd as I don't know where any of them are! I'm happy to take my Tonka toy though if that helps?!
Looking forward to it though, after the last few days here!!

Although I'm not too bothered I'd still like to go to Suardalan. However, Alex's suggestion of Resourie comes a close second. And yeah I'd go to Brunachan, but it's not my first choice.
As for number of nights, can do one or two, I suppose it depends on forecast, which bothy and who else is going. But if it's one night I'd prefer Fri...means I keep Sunday free for other stuff...although really it's a case of "whatever"
So I suppose you could say that in typical Orion fashion I'm being kinda vague
Just talked to Fred about next weekend.I`ve the offer of a free lift to Loch Glascarnoch. The chance to bag Am Faochagach might sadly lure me away from any Orion plans. Will know for definite by Thursday, see you at the Pot Still.Andy
Sent an email to Gordon last night trying to persaude him to go to Braemar and accompany up some of my last Munro's. Need to check whether he has replied. But if I can get somone to accompany me and can take my bike up I'd be up for taking some of the 13 east.
I am none the wiser. Time to be explicit and selfish. I am going for two nights. And I want Corbetts (that's plural) so Suardalan does it for me, could do Friday night there, Saturday on the hill(s) and either (a) stay there Saturday night sprawled damp and aching in front of the fire (steaming, naturally) and contemplating something easy on Sunday like Surr Airgid (b) squelch back to the car and join others elsewhere. But I can't face a long walk in to another bothy on Saturday night after a day on the hills and a drive. I have never been to Resurie or whatever it's called but would give it a go depending on walk in. A full house on Saturday woudl be fun and I would forego hills on Sunday if need be.
So how's about the Saturday-only folk choose a bothy and the Firday/Saturday team decide if they can make it there on Saturday (or on Friday too)?
And I kind of need to know about transport pretty soon so that Abs and the munchkinaren't stuck here without enough warning to get food in for the weekend.

Ah, at last someone wanting to commit to something Well Julian, I'd be more than happy to accompany you to Suardalan on Fri. Wouldn't mind going up Beinn nan Caorach and Beinn na h-Eaglaise (not sure if you've done them) and possibly continuing onto Beinn Sgritheal would top off a great day on the hill.
Would prefer to doss at Suardalan on Saturday as well, but would be willing to meet others somewhere else if neccessary as long as it's not miles away.
You suggest Sgurr an Airgid for the Sunday...sounds good
As far as Resourie goes, I think you also have Corbetts to do in that area...Druim Tarsuinn, Carn na Nathrach and Beinn na h-Uamha
Oh, I don't think I would be popular if I took the car since I've had it a few times in the past month for trips to the hills or cycling. Any chance you, or anyone else who wants to fit into this itinerary, can take their car.
