Hi Alex, yep, I would certainly try and make it down, what with Sunday sailings et al these days!!! Sounds like a great idea. I'll try and get Fatboy out as well.

I'd probably be up for it depending on where you are going...most bothies are going to be a real disappointment after going to An Cladach last week

Mind you I wouldn't mind camping somewhere instead...gives more freedom where to go and it's summer after all, not exactly the traditional bothy season.

Roddy, it would be great if you could talk Jamie "Fatboy" Smith into coming out, apart from the fact that it'll mean that the two of you will no doubt be on your usual rare form and will end up in all of us drinking ourselves senseless :D

I was thinking, if it is to be a bothy trip, howz about Suardalan :?: Yonks since I've been there.

Mind if I tag along too?? Really enjoyed the solstice one last year, and that's the one and only time I've been in a bothy. Would love to go if this on'es on the Saturday night as Alex mentioned.

Scott, I am wounded! Am I to understand that there is something wrong in this, or are you starting to feel your years old son? Count me in wherever!

I fully intend to go, and would even stoop to Suardalan if there is a stray Corbett in the area. Aren't theere any other suggestions though? Forget camping, by the way, I want to sit in front of a fire and carry in nothing much heavier than a bottle of Rioja and some earplugs.

If possible I would like to tick some more of my last Munro's. Only obvious possibility is Beinn Bhrotain or An Sgarsoch. Is it practicable to do these from Bob Scotts say? Could take my bike. Wouldn't be averse to camping too.

Otherwise up for any half decent suggestion. Only wee problem is I won't be back from work till late on Friday so could be a strugle to go away Friday night but happy for an early start on Satuday.

I biked in to Geldie Lodge to do An Sgarsoch and Carn Ealar. Also done it for the remote Corbett in there.A quick perusal of the UK Bothies forum will show however that Bob Scott`s is mobbed every weekend .

I suppose somewhere up the A9 would be handy for Roddy and Alistair.Only one I can think of would be Luibleathan. You could drive round to Glen Feshie and walk/bike in to An Sgarsoch from there.

Personally I would prefer the west coast just for the better scenery but I`m not that fussed...

Ah, I see that everyone will be wanting to go somewhere where they still have stuff to bag...Julian is Corbetts, John's chasing Munros and Fester will be after bench marks

How about we just go somewhere cool, kick back, enjoy a fire and a drink and get up some hills whether we have done 'em or not. Otherwise we'll never be able to agree where to go.

Is everyone wanting to go for both the Fri and Sat nights (except possiblyJohn). Just trying to get a handle on things.

I still fancy Suardalan. But what about Luib Chonnal...we can try out some of that fancy furniture that Neil photographed 8) Oh, just realised I have a vested interest in going there...two unbagged Corbetts :D

And when did you start drinking Rioja. I remember the days when if I produced a bottle of that lovely stuff you would scoff that it wasn't French

Luib Chonnel would be grim in the rain.Absolutely nothing there that I haven`t done and nothing I would consider even going up again .

A`Chuill
Resourie
Suardalan
Glas Allt Shiel.Maybe do Eagle ridge if someone will carry my gear in

Glen Duror because you can nip in and out to do other hills and it`s not far away.
Brunachan for the same reason and we would probably have it to ourselves.

Peanmeanach for a relaxing weekend with some good coastal scenery and a bit of climbing on the nearby sea cliffs.
