Well done Graham - you are a true warrior. Do you get a special hat or badge to wear? Do you get additional letters after your name? ...good effort!!

.....on a more serious note, do you have to attend meetings in Glenmore lodge etc? If so, do they pay your travelling expenses? If not, maybe the club should contribute to your petrol money?

Hey Graham, is this is as a result of my constant moaning about the MCofS...whatever it is, I admire your enthusiasm :D

As for expenses, yeah we could probably afford about 50p

Following on from my posting above, I remember that you aren't so enthusiastic that you didn't go to the Inaugural Meeting back in September :D

Did they send you minutes...what sort of things are they intending to discuss :?:

I though they back balled me! Hadn't had any emails from them until I chased him up the other day. All I have is the proposal for reform of voting so far. Check out the CAG page on the website, it's under member services.

Already have and it doesn't say much

However, what does interest me is this page http://www.mcofs.org.uk/voting.asp Hopefully, as you will be involved, you can make sure that we as a club have enough voting power as to have a relevant voice. I am also relieved that in you we have someone who can try to protect our members' interests in terms of subs and ensure that in the future our MCofS payments don't go up by some ridiculous amount. We are counting on you Graham...may the force be with you

Funny how the Quickdraw club get 3 members on to the Advisory Group immediately.More power to the pro bolting vote...eh :?:

Any idea as to how the make up of the Group was decided :?:

There seems to be an over emphasis on yoof indoors, competition and sport climbing in the MCofS in relation to the more tradtional hillwalking, mountaineering and rock climbing which the vast majority of the membership indulge in.Why is it so important to promote indoor climbing and competitions to the acne decorated pre teens of the country...

I don`t see why the MCofS feels it necesary to promote our "sport" at all in fact.

I was going to say that I agree with you, but it may be the only way that we get new members
