Assuming the BBQ is still on, think phil carol and seb are thinking of coming as well, any volenteers to run the cresh

Any more detailes on when people are thinking of going up, we were planning on heading up Sat late morning, in time to arrive for afternoon gin and tonics, and head scratching over errecting a palace sized tent.

Jon

Good to see you and Phil back out again :D

I think we`ll leave it to Scott to organise this as it gives him something to do while he`s at work  He`s away to the Lakes for a week just now though.

Speaking for myself I`ll be going up on Friday or early Saturday.Quite fancy a days hillwalking and a days climbing. If the Etive Slabs are dry that could be a good venue for Sunday

Not 100% sure about time management but I still think I can come to club BBQ. I would only go for Saturday night and probably want to leave Glasgow Saturday afternoon approx. between 4-5pm.
If anyone has similar time arrangements and want to share petrol, please text/ call me next week as I will be on hols from this Saturday - next Friday into those tropical hills Sth of Inverness...

Would like to climb on Sunday. Is there anything other then E numbers on the Etive Slabs?

Martina: parots and tequillas don't sound too complicated to organise, as for the tropical temperatures....????????????, I think we should possibly have the BBQ closer to the Equator next year (Maui, Samoa...???) ...but for now you can just wear your thermals underneath the grass skirts...or have more tequilla

I would be up for climbing too. Haven't yet decided when I'm heading up. The bairn and her mammy can't make it, but I may ask another friend.

Carol's bought us an aircraft hanger for a tent and is determined to try it out. Last time the midgies got me I ended up in hospital (true!), so I'll be the one in a bath of Skin-So-Soft. Phil

Might not make it down the pub tonight but will try to make it up this weekend with Mel and wean.
How far down the glen is it proposed to go?

Was going to ask the same question, does anyone have an approximate grid reference of where we plan to meet on Saturday night? I assume we all just bring a pile of meat and disposable BBQ's (ie there are no dead cows or static BBQ's where we are going?). Anyone camping on Friday night or going for a walk on Saturday?

Location will be dictated by the amount of gin palace type tentage I think

There are a couple of spots that would do.From memory there is a big sweeping bend with loads of parking and camping space somewhere between 4 and 8 k down the glen.Bound to get somewhere in the first 8k before we hit the forestry.

I`m not sure yet what I`m doing...up either late Friday or early Saturday and fancy going over to Ardgour if the weather is good.

Will be in the pub tonight and update on here if we agree on anything :D

I wont be down the pub but in terms of camping spots we have a substantial gin palace to fetch along, not quite a caravan yet but you have to move gradualy towards these things. So if whoever is going on friday can try to bag a larger spot.

Intention as far as i know it to leave glasgow around 10am on sat at same ish time as phil and carol so expect to be there about 12 ish.

Jon
