Ian and I managed to get out on the hills on Sunday. We did the 4 hills in the north eastern side of Glen Lyon (Carn Gorm Meall Garbh, Carn Mairg and Meall nan Aighean). Although we were in the cloud all day, battling against strong winds and rain, it was good to get out, and great navigational training. ....It also turned out a great test for Ian's new desert storm goretex troosers - although, depending on the vegetation colour, it was a bit scary occasionally watching a torso and head walking towards me

....also saw a sheep with two broken back legs rolling down the hill. :? It strangely didn't seem in too much distress (based on my expert medical knowledge of sheep) but we did try our best to find the farmer to let him know. Unfortunately there was no one around.

Ian standing next to the strangest cairn I have ever seen (Meall Garbh)...

Based on my expert knowledge of hill farmers they wouldn`t give a flying fig anyway...
