Last weekend I was up in Glen Sheil with Dave the Doctor accompanying him on his 250th munro. Friday we did A'Chralaig and Mullach Fraoch Coire (along with the northern top). The weather was basically good all day, except right at the top of Mullach Fraoch Coire, when it rained heavily.

The summit cairn of A'Cralaig:

A view into Glen Affric from near the top of Mullach Fraoch Coire:

Saturday we did Carn Ghluasaid, Sgurr nan Conbhairean, and Sail Chaorainn, along with three tops. Here is the view of Torridon we got from the ridge:

Sunday was dreadful. We set off to do Beinn Fhada, but it poured down, and when we finally reached a river wide enough to make crossing problematic, we turned round and returned.

Shame, it would've given you a chance to perfect your legendary way of crossing rivers in spate (with bin bags between the inner and outer boots of your plastics and pulled up over your legs) that you performed with almost disastrous consequences crossing the river in front of Brunachan

Alas, I had no plastic boots or bin bags. If I had, history would have been different!
