Nevisport annual club discount evening. This years extravaganza will take place on Thursday the 19th of November from 6.00pm-8.30pm at the Glasgow store (261 Sauchiehall Street, G2 3EZ). It's a great chance to buy this seasons stock at amazing prices, 20% off most items* also reps from a majority of the companies we deal with will be on hand to answer any technical questions you may have regarding their latest ranges.
Also, Graham tells me that if you ever buy anything from Cotswolds, tell 'em that you are a member of a club affiliated to the MCofS and you will get a 10% discount. (at last, a real benefit of being a member of the MCofS )

The only problem with this is that, to get the discount, you need to show your MCof S membership card? As we are only club members (not individual members) we don't get one of these? Is this another thing you have to request as club advisory king!

Gordon you can do one of two things in order to get your discount...
1. Get the appropriate form from Cotswold and register the Orion with the shop. Thereafter when you go in you tell them that you are a member of the Orion. I actually got the form some years ago and passed it to our then Club Sec who never filled it out.
2. Just do what Graham does. He tells them that he is in a club affiliated to the MCofS and apparentley they accept this. However, this sounds a little unreliable and maybe we should register the club as in 1.

Honestly theres no problem at Cotswolds. I've been getting discount there for years. Both Silverburn and Crow Road shops accept me saying I am in an MCOFS affiliated club. No problems ever. In fact one day they gave me 15% for some reason:)

Aye, and you've kept it a wee secret from all of us We've all been paying full price for years
Mind you Julia chanced her arm last year and asked for a discount ‘cos she was purchasing so much (Chrissie pressies for me ) and the guy replied, “oh, er, hmm, ….oh, that’s right you’re a member of the GUM Club aren’t you?”. Julia obviously replied that she was Nice guy
And Fester, I don’t want you coming on here and insinuating that my wife had used her womanly “charms” to get this discount

Hey Graham. I was in Cotswold (Crow Rd) yesterday buying new gloves and tried for the 10% discount. After telling them that I was a member of a club affiliated to the MCofS I got it no probs
However, they recommend that we register our club with them. Benefits are…
1. If our members spend a total of £1000 in one year in the shop our discount would go up to 15% thereafter. 2. We would receive invites to Club Discount Nights (similar to Tiso’s I would assume) 3. They would apply the discount without question and also our members may be more confident about asking for it.
The guy who served me said that we could register by just giving them a call, alternatively he said that there might be an application form on their web site.

Good work Graham
On the subject of discounts, I can lend anyone a discount card which I got through my employer. This can be used at Dales or Evans and entitles me to 10% off anything…bikes, parts, accessories, clothing, repairs or services.
