Due to my impending emigration to the land of the sheep (i hear NZ does in fact have more sheep than Scotland), ive had to move back into my parents house in London with my tail between my legs. Unfortunately i wont be able to make it to the pub for the foresable future.
But i will be back in Scotland in late Oct/Nov and was wandering if anyone fancied a bothy trip on either Thur 29th or Fri 30th October. Would be nice to say bye to folks and hand out details of a free place to stay if you ever venture down under (but not Oz).
Scott has reminded me thats Nov is a fairly busy time with Winter meets and club dinner but unfortunately i wont be able to make them
Anyhow, if anyone would be up for it would be great!

As I said the other day I'll make every effort to be there, although I think the Fri may be better for me.
Oh, and where's your report on your mtb trip across Scotland Have we to assume that it is lost in cyberspace along with your Alps report from this summer
sorry travelling about in the middle east so limited access to the internet. Home in 2 weeks though. Is everyone still up for a bothy, id still really love get out there...a welcome break from frazzeling in the desert sun!
Looks like Friday 30th may be the best day? I could hopefully pop down pub as well on Thursday then as well to say byee to folk who arent/cant come to bothy?!
Scott...i promise ill put something up on my scottish c2c when i get back! I haventy had a chance to look at my photos of it yet! Busy life this constant holiday thing!
Thursday night would probably suit me too. That would mean I could go down to Alnwick for Ruth's end of tour party on the Saturday night. I can leave Finnieston at 5pm on the Thurs. I think Andy is interested too.

Gordy, further to our discussions last night I have come up with a devious plan
Assuming we were going to James of the Glen and that we were up and away from the bothy at 8.30am…we should be able to manage this if we don’t drink too much …we could walk out and drive down to Loch Creran.
From there we could go up Beinn Sgulaird. I don’t think that you have been up it? It’s a fine munro with outstanding views and not a huge day. We should be back in Glasgow for a time that would suit both Adam and I
I may go up Sgulaird with you, but and I have been up it a few times and I suspect that views are even better from the next door Corbett, Creach Bheinn So although it is maybe a slightly longer jaunt I just might head up there…will see how we are doing for time.
