Bit of a contrasting weekend. Utterly awful on the Saturday but was rescued by some stunningly beautiful weather on the Sunday :D

Didn’t manage up to Steall Hut for the weekend’s club meet until the Saturday evening, but judging by the day’s weather described to me by the others I felt rather smug that I had missed out on a day on the hill :) After a good, late night in the hut, the Sunday was a different story. Went up Aonach Beag with Sue, Adam, Gordon and Craig in what can only be described as fabulous conditions…sunshine, blue skies, views to a plastered Ben, across the Mamores to Glen Coe and beyond, and east to as far as Schiehallion :D And loads of snow on the top 1500ft of our hill. We went up the eastern edge of the hill overlooking the Grey Corries taking in all the various subsidiary tops. We got back to the hut just as it got dark and had a well deserved cuppa before walking out after a very satisfying hill day.

You guys missed a fab day, or did you change your minds and do a hill? Check out attached photos :D

Took 127 snaps...well I was testing out the new camera.

Unfortunately I missed the weekend.
Looks like the weather was pretty good though.

I've been going through some old pics on the pc and found these three from the last time we were at Steall Hut (2004?)

Ickers & Jon on the wire bridge.

Fraser and Andy.

On the Sunday Jon and I did a few routes at Polldubh, Glen Nevis.

Yeah Graham, it was an outstanding drinking performance from two of the club members

One of them unfortunately is now a dad and unlike me seems to have become much more responsible with the arrival of the baby :(

The other has drunk so much over the years that he aye seems to now say "am aff it!". Of course all you have to do is pass a can of lager/bottle of voddy by his nose and he suddenly seems to change his mind

Also found this pic from the Saturday of that weekend. Think we went up the Grey Corries with Craig, Mel and was it Ickers?
