Team II. A little bit less experienced than team I - except team captain Julian! In contrast, we had nice big heavy rucksacks full of cosy sleeping bags, thermarests, gallons of water, loads a food and ......cameras!

I think I will go more for the picture book story, so apologies for those with dial up internet?

I think the first photo explains a lot.... The Inn pin was in our grasp, but just slipped through our fingers......

Here are Team II....

The King of the Castle, Julian on top of Sgurr nan Eag

Aussie Jen - having a wee snooze after the first big assent

Mountain Leader Andy...

And me, just after catching a snake (well, kind of, we found an Adder skin)
Image

....and a guest appearance from Silke (doing aerobics?).
An example of the stamina oozing from both Team I representatives;

Our couple of days...
Andy on the ridge between Sgurr nan Eag and Sgurr Dubh Mor
Image

Jules on his way up towards the TD gap.
Image

Andy Jen and I decide to avoid the TD gap and traverse over the top of the scree to the west side of Sgurr Alasdair...
Image

After a brief discussion, it was decided that the West ridge of Sgurr Alasdair was a little bit too exposed for us amateurs without ropes and a retreat down to Coir a Ghrunnda for the night was the way forward. The discussion....

Nice Bivy spot...
Image

Nice views from the Bivy Spot...
Image

After a good night's sleep. With more courage and a man with rope skills (Julian), we decide to head up the West side of Sgur Alasdair. Andy showing off his climbing moves...
Image

Jules and Jen in their sunny belay spot...
Image

After some fantastic views from the top of Sgur Alasdair we decended down the Great stone Shute..
Image

Jen jumps in the Corrie Loch for a wee dip...
Image

and Jules and Andy collapse in a heap...
Image

After a nice afternoon sun bathe we drop back down into the camp site...
Image

For a good chin wag with the rest of the campers. What a crackin' couple of days on the hill!!

Very pretty and funny picture book story. Maybe together we could make as much money as Cameron Mc Neish...
Isn't it fantastic that the weather for once has turned nasty exactly when one had to return to work...Freezing in the office all of yesterday and today...hard to believe that it was actually summer if it wasn't for your pics...

Nice to see more Orioneers with helmets on! So did it make you want to run out and buy a harness Gordon?

Top work Gordon. Great pics. Was a great weekend, great weather, great company and great location. ....though the wee little bugs from Friday night are still markin' their spot.

Now I know why people keep raving about Skye and the Alpine Ridge. Beautiful! Skye over an extra week in Italy anytime!

Two complaints so far and that`s from folk on broadband :D "Like watching paint dry" was one of them :D
I reckon that there are about 5 megs worth of photos here which means it would take somebody on dialup about 20 minutes on a good day to see them

I`m going to post the Ultimate Guide to Photo Uploading later on.

You could try reducing the file size.As an example here is one of your original pics here at a file size of 333kb.....

Here is a reduced size of 55kb here.....

Not much difference :D

Excellent set of pics by the way..... :!:
