Martine, her friend, Jen, Dom and myself are going up tonight. I have space in my car for 1 or 2 mone people (leaving Glasgow at about 7pm), if anyone wants to join us phone 07739802860.

Our intention is to drive up Glen Etive till we find the first suitable, large site for parking and loads of massive tents. Once we find this, we will text the grid reference to as many folk as we can. If you do not get the text just look out for group of 3 or 4 tents at the side of the road (my tent is small bright blue, North Face tent), my grey Honda Jazz or Martine's Punto may be parked next to them.

Jen and I worked off the early Saturday morning hangover by heading up Curved Ridge on the Buchaille. It was a lot of fun, although everyone who warned of the start being tricky to find were proved right. I think we asked for directions at least three times!

The climb itself was excellent, although it could have done with a bit less hillfog and a bit less humidity. Enjoyed it too much to take photos during the climb so here is Jen at the top of the ridge:

And here is me also on top of the ridge, but striking an absurd pose  :

That was the only place we took photos, since the summit ridge itself continued the "midge-tastic" theme of the weekend.

Nice pics! Very atmospheric & I'm glad you found your way to Curved Ridge. You both look like real mountaineers. And you didn't even need any slings.
