I know someone started a topic relating to this but it has turned into a solstice folly walking/camping discussion. So i am starting one explicitly about going to bothies and/or hillwalking over the new year period. Not far below the surface of this magnanimous initiative by me is a fairly selfish motive viz. I will be around in Glasgow from Monday 30th Dec through to the 4th Jan. The long-term seaweed hanging outside dalton Mansions confidently heralds glorious weather for the entire week and I have absolutely nothing to do but wash away the stour of a week in London by wandering the hills or more likely (and as tradition demands) stewing in a fugg of my own lack of personal hygiene in a bothy somewhere, talking absolute mince to anyone that will listen and nodding/swigging politely at anyone that fancies their chances at out-mince-talking me.

So between now and then can anyone that is interested please let me know. I can suggest an itinerary too if no-one has any ideas. Logging on to the Forum may be my best chance of finding out who is interested, since invariably my mobile phone battery dies by the time I get to the end of the road. But do phone by all means.

Andy is interested too, also Bob and maybe Fester for 1 or 2 nights. Neil mentioned he might be interested. I will come up with suggested venues.
