So far we have

Dom
Silke
Craig
Neil
Gordon (me)

and maybe Alex, Bob and the Burton clan

No more takers? Any walkers? I am starting to get a bit concerned that from those confirmed most will be going climbing? If this is the case I might make other arrangements for the weekend??

...Neil, if I am going I have the Friday off and would plan to go up on the Thursday night.

Well it'll probably be pouring so they'll all be going hill walking anyway :D Or you could get someone to take you up something easy like The Inn Pin or Pinnacle Ridge.

Last I heard the Burtons were considering going to Dornie (I think) and if so it's likely that the Valentines will be there as well.

Can I hand the organisation and transport arrangements to some other poor fool as it seem daft for me to do it if I'm not going.

I hope that more folk decide to go as I organised both the (unsuccessful) Jura meet and this one to Skye for holiday weekends as most folk say that they prefer meets to be arranged for long weekends. However, it's beginning to look like that folk maybe are busy at hol weekends. Should I organise future summer meets outside of hol weekend...they don't suit me either as I often go camping with the weans on long weekends.

Just over the bridge on the left as you pass through Dornie.Pretty basic but nice and quiet.Good pubs in the village and close enough for a quick trip over to the Cuillin if you want.Eilean Donan is illuminated at night and makes a cracking photo if you have a tripod.

I stayed at the Dornie site years ago. Alex's quite correct the site that it is small and basic, well it was back then, but it is located well. By memory down near the water's edge. Just checked and it is shown on the map :?

Strange thing is that I have searched high on low on the internet for any mention of it and...nada  Is it still open :?: Think John and Gail stayed there a few years ago, but the only sites in the area that I can find on the net are the Shiel Bridge and Morvich ones.

It`s called Ardelve rather than Dornie. Showers and toilets ..all the usual stuff.Don`t know if there is a slipway for the boat though.

Stayed there in 2000 with Jools for a bank holiday weekend Corbett bagging. Also has a 6 metre high trig point a few yards along the road from the campsite

Ardelve

Hmm, seems everyone is planning on going up on the Thursday night. I'm not convinced that I can take the Friday off, and anyway, I am perhaps too soft to spend 4 days rainy camping! Is anyone planning on going up on the Friday?

If I do get to go then I'd love to do the ridge if Neil and Craig wouldn't mind having a newbie like me along!

Following a few phone calls this evening the situation is now as follows;

- Neil and Craig leaving 6pm on Thursday night, returning Monday afternoon.

- Dom, Teacher Graham (possibly?) and Calum (possibly?) going up on Friday.

- Craig's friend Jake and his girlfriend may meet up in Skye.

I will confirm later in the week (my dad is going into hospital tomorrow). I might end up just going up on Friday if there is transport.
