I just came across these photos from a day out on the Ben in April 2003. What surprised me was the fact that out of six of us who went up that day, only two of us, Graham and I, are still hanging around the club  Changing faces, eh :!:

Anyway it was a grand spring day...plenty of sunshine and still enough snow lingering in the gullies to give that alpine feel :D
A classic day was finished with a traverse of the CDM arete, although it was back in the days before I discovered my wonder insoles and I had to descend from near the abseil posts at the beginning of the arete due to sore feet and the need to make the shortest route back to the car :(

A late, dark return to the Fort and a pint and a chippie rounded off an excellent day :D

Here's the pics...

Aye grand day oot and very long! I recall falling asleep at the wheel whilst driving home in the small hours. We were on the narrow twisty bit of A82 at loch lomond at the time, thankfully my passenger Mary woke me up with a scream and a nudge (actually think it was more of a whack) in time for us to stay on the road
