Anyone want to go and see Modest Mouse at the ABC1, 10 Dec :?:

Tickets £16.50

I’ve been dying to see them for ages…trembling with excitement :roll: Will be booking my ticket tomorrow.

Shame Texas Jen isn’t about anymore…she was a huge fan and was just as keen to see them live :(

Well yes I suppose so :D They are actually an indie band originally formed in Seattle in the 90's, although Johnny Marr (yip that's right...formerly of The Smith's) joined a few years ago.

Have heard them compared to all sorts of other indie bands including the Pixies, but it's all bollocks, they've got a real sound of their own. No scratch that...they don't have a single style...they vary it all. Also great vocals and lyrics.

Essential listening (their best two albums)..."Good News For People Who Love Bad News" and "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank".

Oh, and Gavin would have said "a popular beat combo I pressume" :D
