Have any of you crazy traveller types been to Sri Lanka? Ruth and I are getting near to booking a trip out there but are still a bit nervous about the political stability. It seems that as long as you stay south of a specific motorway you are safe. Has anyone been? Does anyone know anything about it? Cheers :)

Sorry Gordon, but never been. Just missed out on a drydocking there a few years ago, which is no bad thing (have to work for a living in drydock) ! Only advice I could give is to try the foreign and commonwealth office website for advice. See what they say about driving down that Ho Chi Minh trail!!! :lol: Sorry I can't help you more.
