Over the last few days with the wind coming from the east and north east it has was slopes with a 'westerly' aspect that have been looking dodgy, now the wind has changed to a north westerly the eastern slopes are gathering snow! Given the forecast of more snow tonight I wouldn't be surprised if it's cat 4 for Sat. I for one will be sticking to safe ground. Fiacall ridge anyone?
I agree David. There seems to be more snow forecast on Fri night and through Saturday, and that will be falling on slopes which already have areas of weakly bonded snow. Therefore I don't fancy being in some gully in the northern corries which could be packed with folk above acting as "triggers".
I'm now considering leaving my gear at home, which has the bonus that I don't have to drag it all out and sort through it

Quite keen to head over to Braeriach on Sunday esp. as the forecast is good. I'm willing to break trail for most of the day through the "thigh deep snow" if this will persuade folk to accompany me

Going by the webcams i can see me spending 1 of the days snowboarding
Kev, to continue last night's conversation. You are keen to try out winter climbing, which is great, so maybe you should use the wintery conditions this weekend to get the winter hill experience that would stand you in good stead for moving into climbing. I know it's up to you and that you also love boarding, but it's just a thought. See ya tomorrow night

I'm sure that we'll be able to fit Amy in Adam's car.
But how is Fiona getting up on Saturday
