I had a fab day out on the Cobbler on Monday witha friend of my sister. Apart froman organised group of walkers we saw only 6 people. It was claggy and ominous on the way up, with about 0m visibility and occasionally shapes looming from the mirk. Did N peak and saw nothing, then middle peak through the eye etc and still saw nothing except a threat of blus sky and then on the S peak the cloud lifted adn we could see for 50 miles ot the west. That called for a good hour's worth of doing nothing there. Then we took the good new path around the back and went for a quick shandy at the Ben Athur's Bothy in Arrochar. Quality day out. And my sister's friend got his first corbett.
